I have entered this travel-poster competition twice in a row now and it has helped me advance my illustration skills and allowed me to show off my love for traveling. On this poster, I was aiming for a clean, simple, Scandinavian look and I went for a feeling of calm and bliss, which is what one can expect to feel after a sauna session.

"The theme this time is … sauna. Taking a sauna is today an international symbol of Finland – be it winter or summer. There is a lot written about saunas in books and on the internet. But the strange thing is that there aren't really any classic vintage posters for the Finnish sauna. It was not a tourist thing back then.
